If you are like me then you have your skinny clothes 'It almost fits! I'll keep it 'cos I like it', 'I used to be this size', your 'this is my ideal size' clothes and your 'gosh I need to drop a few pounds' clothes. A full range of feelings in my closet!
But why do we do this? Nothing sucks more though than having a wardrobe full of clothes that don't fit. When I feel like I have nothing to wear my world gets smaller. I think I can't go to this event, or do that, as I have nothing to wear! So for 2023 we are asking ourselves:
Does your FULL wardrobe fit you? And do you love it?
For most of us its probably a big no. Its more like the 80/20 rule, 20% of our clothes we are wearing 80% of the time! Why are we wasting closet space?
A lot of people like to organise their closet into sections like all pants, all tops, all jackets. But I try to make my life easier than that!
This is my quick closet hack to make your wardrobe more wearable:
- Dump everything on your bed and try on all your clothes.
- Donate what doesn't fit, don't wait to lose weight! Just get rid of the clothes. Please!
- When you are left with what fits and what you love, pre-style them! Work out what goes well together, then hang them in your wardrobe in complete outfits!
This is beneficial in so many ways. It really speeds up my mornings, one as I'm not searching for things, two I'm not trying on a million outfits to see what works, three I'm not having to tidy away everything I tried on! It also takes off that morning mental challenge of figuring out what to wear.
Try it and see how it works for you!
